Beginning 4-day Intensive Parent Seminar

Begin the thrilling journey of unlocking your child's potential. Reframe the way you think about life with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and prepare yourself to make a monumental difference in your child's future.

During four intensive days of lively discussion, videos and hands-on exercises you will begin an RDI® program plan for your family which will help your child overcome the core cognitive, social, communication and emotional deficits that limit the lives of even the highest functioning children and adults with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Customize intervention methods to easily incorporate RDI® program into your family's daily life. Create a "win-win" environment that benefits every family member, including siblings. You will:

• Become familiar with and identify characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Become psychologically ready to "re-form" the relationship between you and your child
• Gain an understanding on how your actions can influence the relationship between you and your child
• Understand how to form an effective learning environment using principles of Guided Participation
• Recognize personal and environmental obstacles and identify modifications for your family

To understand the RDI® program, you must experience this seminar! This is the important step in the RDI® program process alongside working with a RDI® program Certified Consultant.

Parent Seminars are limited to 32 couples. We highly recommend you attend one of Dr. Gutstein's 2-day Introductory Workshops to prepare for this workshop. If you are unable to attend a 2-day Workshop, we recommend you watch the DVD, "Going to the Heart of Autism."

• Houston parent trainings will be presented by Drs. Steve Gutstein and Rachelle Sheely.
• All out of town parent trainings will be presented by Connections Center Staff personally trained by Dr. Gutstein
